I’d Kill for a Cup of Coffee Right Now!

Enter the Keurig B40 Elite Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System.  This handy single-cup brewer uses K-cups to brew a perfect cup every time.  The Keurig allows you to brew over 70 varieties of gourmet coffees and teas.  The reservoir holds 48 ounces of water to allow several cups of coffee or tea to be brewed before a refill.

The Keurig K-cups contain a full cup’s worth of coffee or tea in an easy to use container.  There are no coffee grinds or tea leaves to handle so cleanup is quick and easy.  Thanks to the patented Keurig technology, you can brew either a 7 or 9 ounce cup of coffee in under a minute.  The Keurig hold either regular or travel sized mugs, and will shut off automatically after two hours — a great safety feature.

If you like regular flavored tea or coffee, you can buy a reusable coffee filter that fits in the Keurig.  This allows you to brew using you own brand of ground coffee or tea to save money and brew at a varied strength, based on the amount of coffee grounds you use.  The Keurig also functions as a quick hot-water heater, allowing you to heat a cup of water for tea bags, or to make a cup of instant soup or hot chocolate.

Kuerig makes an assortment of models that allow you to make varied sized cups of coffee, hold more water, or that come with different features.

Many people might wonder how a cup of coffee from the Keurig tastes.  LibraryPiper gives the following review on Amazon:

After several years of laboring over our home coffee machine for mediocre coffee, or waiting in line to spend $$$$ at our local coffeehouse, my husband and I began to consider coffee as just an occasional treat. However, I gave the Keurig B-40 to my husband as a gift, and not a single day has gone by that we have not enjoyed it! It is so easy – just pop in the k-cup, press the brew button, and you have a great cup of coffee or tea. It is perfect for us – we drink about two cups each day with no mess or fuss. The coffee is great – lots of variety in the choices.

And Chuck gave the following review (although it was on the larger B-70 model:

I like coffee from Starbucks, to give you a point of reference. I typically drink their regular (not bold roast) with cream and sugar. I do not drink ‘cheap’ coffee – I hate it. At home we use an old fashioned percolator which can make some strong stuff. We grind our own beans fresh. What I expected from this machine was a convenient, maybe tolerable, maybe not tolerable cup of coffee.  The first cup was a bold serving and it was actually good, almost as good as the percolator. Really surprising.  Definitely would recommend this unit.
